About Us
Calgary is a mountain city. On a clear day, you can see the Rockies from downtown and be standing in Kananaskis two hours later. Most people treat that as two different lives, work and outdoors, with a costume change in between. We don't think it needs to be that way.
We are for the person who has never really been outdoors and wants to start. Not the person with four seasons of gear already dialed, but the one who has driven past the mountains a hundred times and never pulled off the highway.
Getting outside is not complicated, but it can feel that way from the outside. We're here to make the first trip easy. The right layer, the right shoe, and honest advice about what you need and what you don't.
We are for the mountain regular. The one who is up before the city wakes, gear already by the door because this isn't a plan, it's a ritual. Weekend after weekend, the same pull. We build for the repeat trip, not the one-time purchase. Gear should be used, and used often.
We are for the urban explorer, because Calgary is the perfect case for it. This is not a mountain town with a downtown attached. It is a major city, one that happens to have chinook winds, hard winters, and alpine summers within a single drive. We are urban dwellers first. The person who moves easily between places and climates, who needs a shell that works in an airport line, on a city street, and on a ridgeline.
You don't have to call yourself an outdoor person to need gear that works outdoors. You just have to live here.
And we are for the Inglewood local. The person who knew this block before we opened on it. The one who comes in for record night or Saturday run club and stays for the conversation.
You don't need a trail to belong here. You just need the neighbourhood.
Thursday Casual exists in Inglewood because this community has always known how to hold both things at once, a city block and a mountain view. We carry what gets you outside and what gets you through the rest of the week, because for us they were never separate wardrobes. They were always the same closet.
Move. Learn. Gather.
That's the whole thing.
